Forged copper hoppers usually refer to copper hoppers made by forging. Forging is a metal processing method that applies pressure to a metal blank to cause it to plastically deform, thereby forming a workpiece of a specific shape and size.

 

Product Features

 

Corrosion Resistance
Forged copper hoppers are made of 99.9% high-purity copper alloy. Copper can react slightly with oxygen to form an oxide film on the surface, preventing moisture, oxygen or other corrosive substances from further entering the copper material. Therefore, in fertilizer plants and pharmaceutical companies in coastal areas, our hoppers can still maintain surface integrity and no obvious signs of corrosion after 2 to 3 years of continuous use.

 

Thermal Conductivity
The thermal conductivity of forged copper hoppers is as high as 401 W/(m·K), which is 70% higher than that of aluminum hoppers and a full 20 times higher than that of stainless steel hoppers. The advantage of high thermal conductivity is that it can quickly and evenly transfer heat to the entire hopper surface, preventing material agglomeration, burning or wall sticking caused by local high temperature.

 

Smooth Surface
The forged copper hopper adopts mirror polishing process, and the surface roughness can reach Ra 0.2μm, which is much better than the Ra 1.6μm of ordinary machined copper hopper. This means that under the same inclination conditions, the material discharge speed of our hopper is about 15%~20% higher than that of conventional hoppers, which can effectively reduce blockage and thus improve the efficiency of the entire production process.
